A Date With Judy hadn't done a whole lot since thier debut gig in March 1993. Right after the gig, Rod Patry and Chris Daminato quit the band, and left Stan and Tom on thier own. In the down time, Tom thought he's issue the 6 songs recorded at Shaw Cable as the bands debut tape. A demo tape, "The 10" Bootleg Vol 1-The Raw Demos" had been issued in March, but on a very limited scale. This tape was intended as a collectible, and all copies that were made were sold. It was a document of what the band could do, and showed that they planned to do better. By the time this tape sold out, a single was lifted from it, "A Certain Sacrifice", in August 1993. The bands 2nd gig was the Woodstock Fair the same month. |

Tracks: 1) I've Been Around (R. Patry) The Players: Thomas Ryerson- Lyrics & Vocals Recorded at Shaw Cable on Sunday February 28th 1993. A Certain Sacrifice was broadcast on TV on Sunday March 28th 1993. Released as Vision 004 on Wednesday June 23rd 1993, limited to 25 copies. Produced by Ronald Luckman and John W. Payne Notes: Rod Patry fired Stan Antone from the band on Feb 28th 1993, and changed the band name to "Midnight Train". Tom sang back-up and tried to learn the bass for this band, but it was retarded. In March Tom quit "Midnight Train" and reformed "A Date With Judy" with Stan. Chris Daminato quit Midnight Train (now known as Cross-Over) after their first gig in June 1993, and rejoined on with A Date With Judy. He remained with the band until October 1995. |
